John Friend – Bio

Douglas County Clerk of the District Court

 A life-long resident of Omaha and a 25-year veteran of the Omaha Police Department. He has a bachelor of science in criminal justice. He retired in 2007 upon being elected to the office of the Clerk of the District Court.  He was re-elected in 2010 and 2014 and 2018. He and his wife Karen have been married for 34 years and have two adult sons, both police officers.
