Congressman Don Bacon has been serving the 2nd Congressional District in Nebraska since January 2017.  He served nearly 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Brigadier General and was previously the Wing and Base Commander at both Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and Ramstein Air Base in Germany. The Congressman is a strong advocate on the House Armed Services Committee for our military and veterans, and continues to fight for increased funding to rebuild our military, repair flood damages at Offutt Air Force Base, increase military pay, and improve programs and support to Gold Star families as well as our military members and their families. As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, he has worked to pass the 2018 Farm Bill, helped establish a foot and mouth disease vaccine bank, and is a strong advocate for trade which is vital to Nebraska’s Ag industry and economy. He serves as the co-chair for the Foster Care, Electronic Warfare, Intelligence, For Country and Soccer Caucuses. Congressman Bacon has been married to Angie Bacon for more than 30 years and they have four children and six grandchildren.
